With the presence of Scott Schuman aka The Sartorialist at Sydney's Rosemount Australian Fashion Week earlier this year the preening harbour-side attendees had extra reason to don their Sunday best beyond the sartorial one-upmanship of their peers. Yes, with the possibility of online style validation of the highest order you better hope they donned their Sunday best-evers.

If only they had known then what this simple flow chart has taught us now. You can thank the knowledgeable team from Refinery 29 for this tongue in cheek visual checklist to maximize your Sartorialist Worthy Attire or SWA's for short (OK we just made that up).

In short quirky hats are a plus. Vintage bike? Yes please. Cuffed trousers? Couldn't hurt. And if you're lucky enough to be a rich old European man Schuman's camera will love you more than Terry Richardson's camera loves Eastern European jailbait. However, seeing as changing your gender, ethnicity or age requires large amounts of money and emotional trauma we suggest buying expensive accessories and taking up smoking instead.
