PEDESTRIAN VS HEARTS REVOLUTION

P: How did you get on the Kitsune roster?

Hearts Revolution: We were invited by Gildas to have one of our tracks (Ultraviolence) on Kitsune Maison 6, that turned into a single w/remixes.

I think we both enjoyed working with one another so much that we decided to put our our 1st full length our with them sometime early next year. Kitsune has a unique approach to music and that was just what we needed since we wanted to do a video for every track on the album, 13 in total, which is something most record companies would never want to take on.

What are your top five go to party records?

YMO

The Supremes

Nirvana

The Strokes

Outkast

What are your top five floor clearing records?

In the wake of Justice ANY (too many to name) djs/producers paired up like it's noah's ark creating copy cat music

Top three new acts to recommend?

Not to sound like a dick but we don't really listen to new music

Kitsune means fox in Japanese what is your power animal?

We have always been attracted to foxes...that is another reason why we were fond of Kitsune.

In our first single, CYOA! we referenced "foxes and bunnies" as a metaphor for boys and grrrls.

Do you feel like you're one big family?

I think in any family that it isn't normal to have all the members feel the same attraction to one another. There are definitely certain people you feel closer to, etc. I guess Heartsrevolution feels like the distant cousin that lives overseas (NYC)

Who is your dream remix artist?

When we dream...it isn't about remixing. So that question doesn't really apply to us. I will say that if we were going to remix anyone it would be old riot grrrl / punk artists like Bikini Kill, Bratmobile or Fugazi. Our first remix was for a band called "Huggy Bear" the song was called "Her Jazz" it's where we got our name from...Boy/Grrrl revolutionaries!!

Who would you like to remix your own tracks (alive or dead, dance producer or not)????

Maybe have Bjork do a cover of our song "Digital Suicide"?

What's the strangest experience you've had playing live/dj-ing?

Opening for Little Boots last month. She requested a circular stage and we didn't know it but it was a showcase for her and all the N.American reps from Atlantic. There were a bunch of 40 year old business execs staring at us from all angles like we were a bunch of freaks. We felt like caged animals trying to entertain humans who would/could never understand the music we are creating. Glad that's over.

What was the first record you ever bought?

New Kids On The Block

I still like the song "hangin' tough"

What was the last one?
The Strokes / First Impressions of Earth or Arcade Fire / Funeral

I can't remember which came out first.

How does it feel to have your face on every Kitsune release from now on?

We haven't really thought about it. For Kitsune Maison 6 they did the cover in holographic paper so Lo's eye mask (which is usually neon pink) was 3d which was pretty cool.

What is your daily uniform? Does it involve any Kitsune pieces?

Ben : white high tops

PT combat boots

Lo : ballet shoes
