It's not what you know, it's who you know is one of those sentiments we like to pretend is false while plugging our ears and singing lalalalala. But while we're in denial, temporarily zoned out and humming to ourselves the beneficiaries of nepotism are using our skulls as stepping stones to the top of entitlement mountain. It's a pretty bleak world view but hey, I'm a pretty bleak guy.

Sometimes though, it's fucking awesome when superstars use their fame to leverage interest in their not so famous friends. Such is the case with Bjork and London based weird merchants Micachu & The Shapes aka Pikachu and The Apes an experimental three-piece who just may be Gang Gang Dance's long lost trans-Atlantic cousins.

Says Bjork of Micachu And The Shapes: "I saw her in London, in June, a year ago and I was really excited about her. I thought it was that sort of 'do it yourself' approach, with all these little guitars and her attitude was really fresh… think it's really, really fun. (She)is a bit of a prankster really, isn't she?" So when asked if this would be a possibility for Micachu it as a straight yes from Björk.
