It's been a while since we've heard any output from Antony and the Johnsons, their debut LP "I Am A Bird Now" dropping all the way back in 2005. OK, that wasn't too long ago, but Antony Hegarty sure has been busy in the down time.
From working with Bjork, Lou Reed and disco revivalists Hercules and Love Affair the most distinctive pipes in music are featuring everywhere.
Back in his main project, fans can expect The Crying Light (Antony and the Johnsons' sophomore LP) to be released in January 2009. In the interim the band are putting out a five song EP called "Another World", which is also the first single off the album.
A taste of the EP is on offer in the video below. Prepare to throw around adjectives such as luscious, epic, and ethereal. Antony laments the impending Apocalypse, meandering keys resounding in the background, his sentiments cinematic in scope. Never has the end of the World sounded so heart breaking, absolute, or beautiful. Seriously, if this doesn't stir some sort of emotion in you, you're a robot.
Another World Tracklist

2. Crackagen
3. Shake That Devil
