Yoko Ono was never going to be your average octogenarian. Bringing in the big 8-0 on-stage with the Plastic Ono Band in Berlin, the experimental musician/artist/peace activist was joined by an all-star cast including Peaches, REM's Michael Stipe, Wilco's Nels Cline, Rufus Wainwright & Martha Wainwright. Lead by Sean Ono Lennon, the group closed out the evening with a rousing rendition of John Lennon's Give Peace a Chance.

Irrespective of whether you still blame Ono for breaking up The Beatles, her longevity, increasingly prolific artistic output, and sincere efforts to make the world a better place have more than made up for any exasperation she caused between the fab four. In addition to fronting the legendary Plastic Ono Band at the sold out show, Ono celebrated her birthday with 200 piece retrospective exhibit in Frankfurt as well as releasing a clip of her first EDM single Hold Me. Seriously, what are you on lady?

Happy Birthday Yoko!
