Amy Schumer copped some heat from Trump fans earlier this week when approximately 200 of 'em walked out of her show after she made a bunch of gags about the now-infamous 'pussy-grabbing' Trump tapes leak. Why the Trump fans were there in the first place is anyone's guess, but hey!

She hinted on Instagram that she was about to embark on a 'Trump apology tour' which I assume zero people believed would be sincere:

Well, turns out she did read an apology letter (of sorts):

Dearest Tampa, I’m sorry you didn’t want me, a comedian who talks about what she believes in, to mention the biggest thing going on in our country right now. How could I think it was OK to spend five minutes having a peaceful conversation with someone with different views?

After the show, I want you to know that I will go straight to a rehab facility that will teach me how to make all people happy—both the rich, entitled, white people who are gonna vote for him and the very poor people who’ve been tricked into it!

And Tampa, I’m so sorry. I shouldn’t have said that he was an orange, sexually assaulting, fake-college-starting monster. Shouldn’t have said that. I will never again say that he is an orange, sexually assaulting, fake-college-starting monster!

Check out the (admittedly shitty) visual:

The apology show also featured a trigger warning for Trump fans who may be offended by the content within, which I'm sure was well-received and appreciated in the end:

Water under the bridge, right?
