News.

Today the internet spewed forth Kelly Clarkson's new single "Naked Eye", which wouldn't have been that newsworthy were it not for the BLATANT PILLAGING OF ARCADE FIRE'S "REBELLION (LIES)" in the track's opening thirty seconds. Come on hide your intellectual property underneath the covers...or Kelly Clarkson will bite that shit and cloak it with bubblegum production and confusing lyrics about naked eyes.

So what do you think? Direct lift or coincidence? For now we'll assume she's innocent until proven guilty and commend Clarkson for turning one of the most cathartic riffs of the 2000's into a faux-empowering middle of the road dance number that has "Biggest Loser Soundtrack" written all over it. Listen and compare below...

i say.. your a moron..
first, it's an unfinished demo, one of several recently stolen from Clarkson (if you bother to read news).. the person who stole it mixed music into the unfinished demo's.
get your head out of your ass and stop assuming stories you know nothing about.

@jerry: regardless of what the music whomever stole the music "mixed in" which TBH sounds thoroughly unfeasible anyway - it's the vocal melody that is exactly the same so unless it's not clarkson singing then she's kinda biting arcade fire and you're still a douche

Yeah, You are still a douche. That melody is one giant coincidence otherwise.
Imagine being Clarkson, imagine your life as a product. Those cut off gloves were no accident...
The whole damn thing sucks. Watch and listen as middle Australia etc eats it up and asks for more.

'Since u Been Gone' is a killer track though.

Completely agree with Sonya. However I'm a part of Gen Y and I'm switched on enough to realise that Sonya; your sentence also has plenty of gramatical errors. And it's all coincidence.

YOUR COMMENT*"Naked Eye" is a stolen, incomplete, demo and not her "new single". Hopefully the youtube police will remove this illegal leak. It's ridiculous to compare a rough unfinished demo to a completed song.

How does an unfinished demo, stolen from Kelly's personal computer = a song rip-off? and FYI, this ISN'T Kelly's new single. Maybe you should get your facts straight and quit leading the public with false information. This song was most likely not meant to ever be heard by the public. And if that's the case, Kelly can record and "rip off" whatever kind of music she wants. As long as it's not put on an album released to the public, who cares what sounds like what? This is all positive attention for Arcade Fire, considering more people know who Kelly Clarkson is than they do that band. Truth hurts.

And another FYI: your video doesn't even work anymore. That's what happens when you link STOLEN, UNRELEASED music on your site. Nice.

Maybe it's a tribute to them???? And plus everything about this song might've changed by the time it even had a chance on the album- I'm talking the whole mix, I couldn't imagine this mix making it... it needs to be heavier.

It's not like a music festival where everyone is judging each other and you can label people by what they're wearing.
