The boys from The Presets must have gotten their steamworks on as they are both fathers to be. Frontman Julian Hamilton's partner SBS newsreader Janice Peterson ‘is up the duff' (her words not ours) as is drummer Kim Moyes' long time partner Mia according to The Daily Telegraph.

Hamilton broke every girls' heart (and all those on Oxford Street) when he announced that ‘This Boys In Love' after journalists inquired about his relationship status earlier in the year. Insert ‘I Go Hard, I Go Home' joke here or maybe a little "Down, Down, Down" pun.

The boys are currently in the studio working on their third studio album, so perhaps we'll see a change in their sound. Instead of music that encourages kids to pop pingas they'll encourage their followers to pop out a kid instead. Of course these days the expression 'up the duff' could be applied to both situations.

With both ladies set to give birth around the same time in 2010, you wouldn't like to be the kitty in the middle of that labour room when that special day comes. Congratulations to Kim and Julian!

Ironic. The Presets made a lot of fans by pretending that they're gay. No more profiles in the gay mags, then.

true that kilgore. not that it matters anyway, most of their new stuff is pretty boring.

hmmm. when i interviewed julian for a gay paper ages ago he was pretty happy to talk about his girlfriend and how in love they were at the time. i think they've catered toward ambiguity, but i wouldn't say they pretended they were gay.

the idea that straight bros can't pose for a gay mag is pretty absurd. pseudo-homoism is easily one of the best things in life.
