She's said it before and no doubt she'll say it again but apparently this time it's for real. Like for real, for real. Miss Lily Allen is taking an extended break from the music world for a few years.
Allen told the BBC she would not be performing or recording music while she sets her sights on launching a ‘record label and running a rental clothes store'. The new shop ‘Lucy in Disguise' will be a joint venture with her sister, Sara. "It's about getting really nice clothes, but letting people rent them for affordable prices so they can go out and feel like a million dollars and it won't cost them a million dollars."
This news isn't completely out left field, rumours that Allen might be pressing the pause on her music career have been percolating for months, since she announced she would not be renewing her contract with her music label.
If you haven't already make sure you grab tickets to her shows on her trip down to Oz in January next year for the Big Day Out tour. Who knows when you'll have a chance to catch this lovely lady again.
