There's nothing groundbreaking about the vintage-inspired wares of LA based design duo Wildfox Couture. For one their highly wearable collections focus on wardrobe staples such as tees, singlets, cardigans, hoodiess, leggings, jeans and shorts. Nothing new - we know. What we do find irresistible however, is the playful aesthetic approach of childhood friends Emily Faulstich and Kimberley Gordon. The duo cater to a very specific segment of the female population and a grossly unspecific segment of the male one by combining Summery festival garb, uber-feminine streetwear and a coquettish wink that'll charm most. Oh and they have the hottest lookbooks in the business.

Much like their salacious Fall 09 lookbook, Wildfox's Spring 2010 collection "Young Guns" takes cues from the American Apparel school of advertising and presents a bevy of bright young things pouting, slinking and cavorting in various states of undress. It's a manipulative M.O but the boldly coloured collection is so tongue-in-cheek, mischievous and unashamedly fun we'll happily play along.
