This is going to be juicier than "Hollywood Wives" y'all!
"House of Versace: The Untold Story of Genius, Murder, and Survival" has just been published and has all the ingredients to become the best celebrity "untold story" since Madonna's brother bitched her out in his book. Reportedly, it includes details like the amount Donatella pays for hair extensions ($175,000 per annum) and the mystery behind why Gianni Versace famously left half the fashion empire to his niece, Allegra.
Like every good page-turner it has sex, drugs and rock n roll in spades.
SEX: Pole in hole action is a given.
DRUGS: The book covers Donatella's mega septum-dissolving fondness for blow and how Gianni bought her back from the brink of drug-fuckery. Plus, this is the fashion industry we're talking about, so it's bound to be an extravaganza of coke and Pol Roger.
INTRIGUE: Gianni Versace was murdered by a psychopath. Check.
CELEBRITY: The Versace crew roll with Naomi Campbell, Madonna, Elton John, Axl Rose, Beyonce, Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher, Prince, Liz Hurley, blah blah blah.
Written by Deborah Ball, a long-time Milan correspondent for The Wall Street Journal, the book contains content based on hundreds of interviews conducted with Versace family members, Gianni Versace’s lovers and business rivals, models, and fashion industry icons.
Apparently it does not reveal the truth behind the startling similarities between Donatella and Janice from The Muppets. Some mysteries just aren't meant to be solved...
