News.

Less than five years ago people were scared to shop online. It was (and perhaps still is) the digital equivalent of shopping at the local Crack-Mart...in the ghetto part of Cracktown...the most crime-ridden township of Crackville County. You know, faceless men with questionable morals hiding in the shadows and waiting to jack your shit. In fact the only difference between shopping offline and shopping online is it's harder to steal someone's identity in real life. Though if Face/Off has taught us anything, real life identity theft includes wearing John Travolta's greasy face as a ski mask so that should deter pretty much everybody. But I digress...

From Jordan Askill and Kym Ellery to myPetsQuare, Sydney based e-boutique The Grand Social is the digital home to some of Pedestrian's favourite labels and a local example of the increased safety and reliability of shopping online. If however you don't have the intranet (really guy?) or subscribe to the "try before you buy" school of shopping you'll be happy to learn that The Grand Social are launching a pop up store in the MLC Centre (Shop 7.08A, Level 7, 19 Martin Place) this Thursday with celebration drinks on Friday.

Every Thursday thereafter The Grand Social kids will also host a variety of in-store events including previews of Jayson Brunsdon's resort collection, a makeover night and the tantalizing prospect of an Ellery in-store appearance and live photo shoot.

But wait there's more. The Grand Social have also announced plans for a permanent physical retail space in Darlinghurst, slated for a February launch. So watch this space for further details...
