Kuznetsky Most20 Moscow Opens  November 23, 2009

Paris has Colette, London has Dover Street Market, New York has Opening Ceremony and Moscow now has its own fashion multiplex Magazin Kuznetsky Most20.

Kuznetsky Most20 stocks a vast collection of rare brands inside from exquisite Husam el Odeh jewelry, Maison Martin Margiela’s Artisanal line, tiny Mark Fast dresses, colorful Bernard Wilhelm nail polishes, futuristic Marios Schwab dresses, subtle Rick Owen Lilies, a huge Acne corner, vintage Hussein Chalayan dresses and porcelain Uncommon Matters collars.

For the lads there are not only Juun J and Ute Ploier coats and jackets as well as Rick Owens x Eastpak, but also a huge collection of New Balance, Nike Tier Zero, Lacoste Stealth sneakers and more collabs than you can throw Kanye West at.

One of the main stars of the store is a young and extremely talanted Russian designer Gosha Rubchinsky, who's only been showing for three seasons and who's already made a huge impact with his modern Russian youth inspired streetwear. His clothes have nothing to do with glossy, rich Moscow, but reflect the culture of modern Russia, it's naivety mixed with harshness and raw youthful energy and the result is smoking, creative and strong such as the headpiece below crafted from a pair of Nike Air Max.

Another attraction of Kuznetsky20 is it's interior. While most designer stores in Russia either look like psychedelic palaces covered with gold, marble and velvet rugs or boast surgically simple white walls plus minimalistic furniture designs, Kuznetsky Most 20 is a place which offers you endless discoveries on your way to the fitting rooms. In a small greenhouse you'll find Bless disco-cars and sunglasses, dresses are fitted on ancient statues and video-installations can glue you to the spot which does make shopping for a party dress much more time consuming.
