News.
While we really miss seeing Gemma Ward on catwalks around the world because the girl is completely off the chain in the looks department, we also thought she was fantastic in her acting debut for Elissa Down's feature film 'The Black Balloon' - in which she managed to make a stack hat look like a cute accessory - a far greater achievement than 'looking good in a paper bag'. Since then, we haven't seen much from Gemma as a model or an actor, but she'll be returning to the big screen soon in the fourth installment of Pirates of the Caribbean - a rumour that has now been confirmed, according to Frockwriter.
Ward will be playing a "sexy mermaid", a small speaking part. We heard this news from The Playlist in a post called Gemma Ward Will Say Something In 'Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides'. Let's not forget the career trajectory of the actress who 'Said Something In Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse Of The Black Pearl' and six years later she was getting painted blue and getting seen on IMAX screens in $2 billion dollars worth of movie. Zing!
