We've already blogged about the imminent Australian arrival of Garance Dore and Scott Schuman but today we have more details on the cause of their trip - illustrations.

As evidenced by the proliferation of coiffed young things loitering around Circular Quay last year, the first couple of street style made quite an impression on RAFW in 2009. And despite some proximity to this year's dates, Dore actually owes her Down Under jaunt to a Westfield commissioned exhibition which will exhibit exclusively at Westfield Bondi Junction and Westfield Doncaster in May. Dubbed "The Garance Dore Winter With Westfield Designer Installation" the multi-talented Parisian has crafted eight illustrations inspired by the Winter 2010 collections of seven Australian designers: Zimmerman, Gorman, Thurley, Bettina Liano, Arthur Galan, Leona Edminston and Country Road.

She's obviously as talented with pen as she is with camera so it's nice that art lovers and preening exhibitionists will benefit from her Australian trip this time round. Have a sneak peek at Dore's whimsical renderings of Zimmerman and Bettina Liano below...
