It takes a considerable amount of willpower to not post every image from this look book - but considering it's an exclusive first look at Kym Ellery's new collection, we'll refrain for mystery's sake. What we can tell you is that the former Russh Market-Editor skillfully reinterprets on-trend touchstones (over the knee boots, innerwear as outerwear, off the shoulder asymmetry, feathers) with a uniquely Australian amalgam of wearability and glamour. But if you're familiar with Ellery's previous work you already knew that.
Well, we can also tell you that Ellery's vision of Autumn/Winter 2010, A Tribute To Doctor Strange, pays its anatomic moniker more than just lip service through skeletal detailing, artery red silk georgette, stethoscope necklaces and body conscious forms. Now that we think about it, it's the only conceivable instance where we've welcomed visible rib cages in fashion, though Ellery's are of the resplendent gold variety (somewhere in the world right now, Edward Cullen is thumbing his torso and weeping).
Finally we can also tell you that never in our wildest dreams would we deem a saddle pant in raspberry plastic "wearable" except in the case of a rare and particularly adventurous breed of dominatrix jockeys. But after viewing your collection Ms Ellery, we humbly stand corrected.
