For the June/July 2011 cover, Australian Harper's BAZAAR are showcasing two of the country's top international models Bambi Northwood-Blyth and Jack Vanderhart for a shoot inspired by the famous 1990s Calvin Klein ads starring Kate Moss and Mark Wahlberg.

The cover image of Bambi (below), shot by Australian-born photographer Lachlan Bailey, immediately reminds me very much of a young Brooke Shields - right down to the strong eyebrows, Calvin's and piercing gaze. And the fact it's a topless cover shot? In the Australian market for mainstream glossy magazines, it's a very daring and boundary pushing choice - to think it was only 12 months ago that BAZAAR had another boring Jennifer Aniston cover. Here's to a progressive new direction.
