Elfin Australian actress Mia Wasikowska has proved herself one of the most sought after talents in Hollywood after her understated but mesmerising turn as the titular protagonist of Cary Fukunaga's Jane Eyre adaptation and as a charming, precocious teenager in The Kids Are Alright. With her porcelain skin and delicate features it's little surprise the fashion world has followed the lead of Hollywood casting directors. Most recently Miu Miu recruited Mia to front its Spring/Summer 2012 campaign, following on from the brand's previous 'Hollywood ingenue' casting of Hailee Steinfeld last season.

While the actress-led campaign images lack the dynamism of Miu Miu's model-fronted Spring 2011 campaign featuring Kasia Struss, Querelle Jansen and Sasha Pivovarova, with upcoming roles working along side some of film's most adroit directors (John Hillcoat, Chan-wook Park, Spike Lee), Wasikowska isn't giving up her day job any time soon.
