News.
This is sad. Demi Moore was hospitalised on Monday after experiencing seizures induced by what Americans call 'whip-its' - better known in Australia as 'bulbs' (inhaling nitrous oxide through aerosol cans or whipped cream dispensers). It's basically the yardstick for cheap, lowbrow drug use.
According to a report from TMZ Moore is entering a rehab facility for "substance abuse" and there are rumours that she'll also be treated for anorexia. Her reps issued the following statement: "Because of the stresses in her life right now, Demi has chosen to seek professional assistance to treat her exhaustion and improve her overall health. She looks forward to getting well and is grateful for the support of her family and friends."
The tape from the 911 call has now been released and it's pretty grim. The caller, an unknown female, tells the emergency worker: "She's been having some issues lately with some other stuff, but I don't know what she's been taking or not."
Get well soon DM.
