Friends of the popular disc jockey, DJ AM, who died not too long ago from an accidental drug overdose, have put his sneakers up for auction on Ebay to raise money for the DJ AM Memorial Fund.

It's no secret that DJ AM had a huge obsession with sneakers and more than 800 pairs of his admired kicks - many of them limited addition - have been put on the net.

The DJ AM Memorial Fund is committed to 'addressing issues of addiction and recovery' and all profits made from his gigantic sneaker collection will go straight to charity.

For fellow shoe-hoarders the collection includes "one of 200 pairs of Nike PlayStation Air Force 1s and one of 50 pairs of Eminem Air Jordan 4s, along with Supreme Dunks; Supa Dunks; Hyperstrikes; Air Jordan PEs; and other rare, retro and limited-edition shoes."

Check out the clip below where AM talks about his obsession with his kicks and where it all began..
