Christina Hendricks plays Mad Men's Joan Holloway, the most awesome fictional redhead since Molly Ringwald's roles circa '85. Broken Bells is the surprisingly cohesive side project of serial collaborator Danger Mouse and James Mercer of The Shins. Unsurprisingly, as awesome people tend to gravitate toward other awesome people, both parties are fans of the other's work which has resulted in the former playing an android in the latter's video for "The Ghost Inside". This is obviously great for Broken Bells because have you seen what Christina Hendricks looks like?!?!

Hendricks was the band's dream choice for the role but they were doubtful they could get her. Says Mercer: ''We assumed we would ask and that'd be it...She's got to be so busy, and who the hell are we? But she said yes! Turns out she's a fan of our record.'' You can just hear the fandom can't you? Peep a few stills from the clip below. It'll serve, no doubt, as the visual inspiration for a creepy fan-made comic book about redheaded space androids that feed on the hearts of men.

I think alot of people dont give Christina Hendricks as much respect as she deserves. Shes got some serios acting chops, i bet she does receive an emmy while starring on Mad Men before its all said and done. I want to see her in some more movies!
