The ARIAs producers were mighty ambitious this year: Multiple hosts, even more presenters, a heap of live performances, various costume changes and an unusual cocktail party set up. While, theoretically, this complicated extravaganza would have been a fabulous idea, when it came to actually executing it - as well as telecasting it all live - the operation fell apart a bit. The broadcast felt confusing, frantic and over-complicated to the home viewer and, with the exception of the live music performances which were all really fantastic, the show had too many unspeakably awkward moments to make enjoyable viewing. For one, terrible, embarrassingly unfunny writing for poor Rebel Wilson, Natalie Bassingthwaisghodtaite and Dylan Lewis; the entire three minutes Bob Katter MP was on screen; Ricki Lee Coulter making truly wack gay jokes to Modern Family actor Eric Stonestreet that had me yelling "did that just happen" at my boyfriend before switching to Monster In Law because at that moment even Monster In Law was preferable to the 2010 ARIA Awards. Already anti-ARIA facebook groups have been made including the titles "Wow, thats as bad as the 2010 Aria Awards" and "2010 ARIA awards Lamest EVER". Geez.

Let's have a look at what people were wearing.

Angus and Julia Stone took out the big one: BEST ALBUM OF THE YEAR. Angus / The Yeti wore the same holey grey t shirt he wore to the nomination ceremony. Keeping it casual.

We suspect Angus Stone and Isabel Lucas do not really give a sh*t about the ARIAs and are more about comfort and beardy make out sessions in eco-friendly environment.
