'BIG BANG BIG BOOM' animation by BLU

Directed and created by Italian artist Blu, this animation took months of work and hundreds of buckets of paint, but the result is nothing short of incredible. It represents their vision of "the beginning and evolution of life... and how it could probably end." Enthralling.

Insane!

Awesome work, I can't imagine how long that would have taken.
Elizabeth - Jul 11, 2010 at 03:37pm
Amazing, but I'm just confused how the artists were given permission to paint over all that communal space?

I'm with Elizabeth. How in the world were they able to paint over walls, buildings, bridges, even windows for this? It was amazing and breathtaking, and my just be a new art form, but what steps must one execute to even make this possible?
ark1517 - Dec 21, 2010 at 06:30am
@Knux Kitsune they were painting over graffiti and run down businesses. i'm sure they approached the owners with the stipulation they would paint it white after they were done. I.E. free paint job. something i think even the city would be game for (free Labor and Materials)

This is nothing short of GENIE-US creationist empowerment. I bow in equal amounts of deep artistic respect and sheer gobsmacking awe.

You should get some kind of big award for this!

So beautiful, on every level. He touched on every aspect of our history, and dabbled into our future. Amazing! I'd love to shake the artists hand.

Man I don't understand how he can paint the surroundings so well, but then the actual art looked like it was from a coloring book!!

Was it supposed to be significant that the beginning and the end explosions were the same?
Mauro - Nov 24, 2010 at 05:02am
impresionante...creo que se demoraron mucho en hacer este trabajo pero el resultado final es simplemente increible....
