From next Friday 9 April, Joshua Levi Galleries in Brisbane's effortlessly-evolving artistic hub Woolloongabba, will host the fourth edition of The Versus Show featuring the work of photographer Kylie Fisk (Brisbane) Vs painter Laura Skerlj (Melbourne), who have taken the concept of Dreams as the inspiration for their works.
The show's opening night will include live music performances, animation and set design, and the gallery itself will be transformed into an interactive and engaging dreamlike scene. Super dreamy.
Joshua Levi Galleries is getting a rep as one of Brisbane's most interesting and exciting spaces for contemporary art, a fantastic platform for up-and-coming artists, and regularly holds really fun events with cold beers and fun kids to make out with. Or just go with your regular squeeze and make out with them. Celibacy is cool too.
The 'versus' art show series was conceived by Brisbane artist Mel Baxter to showcase the work of two artists with a mutual respect for each other and each other's art. Aw.
