Duke Magazine's annual dance-off not only takes place this Friday at Oxford Art Factory - it coincides with Halloween. So aside from sweaty bodies and spasmodic dance moves expect some mutant zombies and rotting corpses. A combination which totally makes sense now that we think about it. Anyway, to get the low down on the art of Halloween Costumery we enlisted Duke's self described Dictators, Raquel and Emily, to suggest six Halloween costumes they'd love to see you in this Friday.

Fergie
If you're ugly, don't forget the theme is MUTANTS! so come as you are. You lucky bastard, you're already hideous and don't even have to pay for a costume!

Herr Prince Harry
This costume's so good it even made front page news! Controversy is the key. Like imagine if you showed up dressed as your friend's dead mother. They're like "Who are you supposed to be?" and you're like "Your dead mum". Ooh touchy...

MaskÂ
Eeewww! How did this guy ever get laid? Oh that's right, she was blind. That creep! He's a freak and a creep and... and... eeewww! P.s. This is one easy costume - just make paper mache out of oatmeal and clag glue. Easy Peasy.

Toxic Avenger
If you're coming to the party just to pick up babes, dressing like a munted super hero can improve your chances big-time. As one-eared Vincent Van Gogh once said "If you truly love Nature, you will find beauty everywhere." Yeah right! You got no chances - unless you can dance.

Michael Jackson
Pfft! In case anyone dares show up like this, we've instructed the MC to point them out with a spotlight and we'll put them to shame. This costume is last year's Dark Knight. Come on people, put a bit of effort in!Â

The Claw
Aka The Skill Tester aka the most awesome costume of all time. Heelllooo?! This girl actually MADE this costume, from scratch. This is what we mean when we say "put a little effort in". It's not that hard, it'll only take like 2 weeks to make!
